E43 Unlocking the Key to Booking Incredible Podcast Guests
In today's episode I want to talk about booking guests on your podcast. If you have an interview style podcast, where you have a featured guest you interview for each new episode, you know booking guests can be one of the hardest parts of your show. Finding the right people can be hard sometimes. Researching people's socials and reaching out to them in hopes for a response is one way to book guests, but I have found a much more effective way to book great guests.
In person. In person networking events for me have been the #1 way to book great podcast guests. And it's for two reasons. One, you get to actually talk to someone and feel their energy to see if it's a right match. There's no hiding behind social media. Two, most people are flattered when you ask them, especially in person. I have yet to have someone say no to me. Once you get them interested, you also then need to make sure it's easy for them to then book. You want to make it as easy as possible for them to actually get booked, so that way they don't get stuck with the process and end up not booking.
